West Highland Way - 9 Day Trek

“The West Highland Way is arguably the most famous walking route in Scotland.  Steeped in history, this wonderful long distance path takes you north, from the bustling commuter town of Milngavie (pronounced mul-guy), to the Highland tourist hub of Fort William, nestled in the shadow of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis (1,344 meters).  In route, you will trek through small villages & towns, forested pathways along Loch Lomond, and the remote highlands of Scotland.  This is a wilderness trekking adventure you simply must experience!

Great Glen Way - 7 Day Trek

The 75-mile Great Glen Way starts where the West Highland Way ends in Fort William.  This wonderfully scenic footpath takes you past ruined castles, a shipwreck, old bridges and along three lochs: Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, and the most famous, Loch Ness which ends in Inverness! All three lochs are connected via the Great Caledonian Canal, built in the 1800’s to allow boats to travel through this landscape rather than attempt the treacherous sail around the north coast.  As you trek you will witness boats maneuvering through the lochs, swing bridges opening for lone boats, and locals out for a bike ride or taking their dogs for a walk along the canal footpaths.  The highlands rise up around the lochs and the new "high" route gives you grand views of both the lochs and the highlands.
